NEBOSH IGC ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free educational application designed to help users prepare for the NEBOSH International General Certificate examination. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

1. Information We Collect

We collect no information. The app does not collect, request, or access any personal data, including but not limited to:

• Names, email addresses, or contact information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or hardware information
• Usage analytics or behavioural data
• Photos, files, or media
• Network or internet activity

2. Data Storage

The app stores the following data locally on your device only, using Android's SharedPreferences:

• Learning progress — which lessons you have completed
• Bookmarks — lessons you have saved for later
• Recently viewed — your last visited lessons
• Theme preference — your light, dark, or system theme choice

This data is never transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party. It remains exclusively on your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

3. No User Accounts

The app does not require or support any form of user registration, login, or account creation. There is no authentication system and no user profiles.

4. No Analytics or Tracking

The app does not integrate any analytics services, crash reporting tools, advertising frameworks, or tracking technologies. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar service.

5. No Advertising

The app contains no advertisements of any kind. There are no ad networks, banner ads, interstitial ads, or sponsored content.

6. No Third-Party Data Sharing

Since we collect no data, there is no data to share. We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer any information to third parties.

7. Internet Access

The app may request internet permission for the following limited purposes:

• Loading fonts from Google Fonts on first use (cached locally afterwards)
• Opening external resource links (such as HSE or NEBOSH websites) when you explicitly tap on them

No data is uploaded from the app during these operations.

8. Children's Privacy

The app is an educational tool and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data is collected at all, the app complies with COPPA and similar regulations by design.

9. Data Security

All locally stored data is protected by Android's built-in application sandboxing. Each app's data is isolated and accessible only to that app. No sensitive personal data is stored by the app.

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect or process any personal data, data subject rights (access, correction, deletion, portability) under GDPR, CCPA, or similar legislation are not applicable. However, you can clear all locally stored app data at any time through your device's Settings → Apps → NEBOSH IGC → Clear Data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. The fundamental principle — that we collect no personal data — will not change.
