Location Data

To provide accurate daily Prayer Times and calculate the correct Qibla direction, the app requests access to your device’s location (GPS data).

• How it is used: Your location coordinates (latitude and longitude) are used strictly to calculate prayer times and determine the direction of the Qibla.
• Data Sharing: Your location coordinates are transmitted securely to a third-party prayer time calculation service (the Aladhan API) solely for the purpose of retrieving your local prayer calendar. Your location data is not stored on our servers, tracked over time, linked to your identity, or sold to third parties.

Local Device Storage

The app stores data locally on your device (using SharedPreferences/local databases). This includes:

• Your reading progress, bookmarks, and daily reading plans.
• Your digital Tasbeeh counter history.
• Your Adhan notification preferences.
• Cached prayer times to reduce network usage. All of this data remains strictly on your device and is never uploaded to our servers.

2. Permissions Required

To function properly, the app requests the following native device permissions:

• Location Permission: Required for Qibla compass and local prayer times calculation.
• Notification & Alarm Permissions: Required to schedule and play background Adhan notifications reliably at the exact prayer times.
• Internet Access: Required to fetch the initial prayer calendar data from the Aladhan API.

3. Third-Party Services

The app utilizes the following third-party service:

• Aladhan API: We use the Aladhan REST API to fetch accurate prayer calendars based on your coordinates. You can review their privacy practices at their respective website.

4. Data Security

We value your trust in providing us with your information. Because we do not require you to create an account, and we do not host a central database, your personal data (such as reading habits and location) remains entirely under your control on your physical device.

5. Children’s Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted.
